Her Highness Sheikha, is the mother of her husband’s heir-apparent, Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai. She is also stated as the First Lady of Dubai.

When she was 17 years old back in 1979, her highness, Hind married her first cousin, Sheikh Mohammed Rashid, who was 13 or 14 years older than her. Their wedding was Dubai’s first main public event. Intricate actions were made to acclaim the event; the wedding was a lavish one that one might easily have mistaken it for a national festival rather than a nuptial.
A 20,000 seater stadium was made to host the wedding which contained shows of horse and camel riding, and a stunts display by the Dubai Air Force. The total cost of the wedding parties was estimated to be around $100 million. After her marriage, Sheikha Hind remained a regular Arab wife and devotedly follows the Islamic purdah system by never associated her husband to his race meetings and is rarely seen in other public events. Even her photograph has never been exposed publicly.
Presence the Sheikh’s senior wife, Sheikha Hind is the royal family’s chief matriarch and resides with her family in the Zabeel Palace (Ruler’s palace) in Dubai. The Sheikh’s junior wife leads a separate existence. Sheikha Hind oversees the upbringing of her children and little orphans she has approved out of charity.
Moreover, the contest was limited on December 17, 2012, at the Dubai World Trade Centre and was prepared by the Women’s Sports Committee of the Dubai Sports Council, under the support of her highness and under the leadership of her son, Shiekh Hamdan, the Crown Prince of Dubai. The sports tournament is meant to encourage women to come out and actively contribute to fitness and sports events.
Her charitable effort was always good intention from her Highness, back On 2013, Her Highness Sheikha Hind, contributed three planes to planes to the United Arab Emirates national football team’s fans from Manama in Bahrain to Dubai following UAE’s splendid 1-0 success over Kuwait in the round of semi finale the 2013 Gulf Cup of Nations. The inventiveness was highly valued by the sports community in general and the UAEFA in particular.
On year 2013, after establishment of the Mohammed bin Rashid Aid and Charitable her highness Sheikha Hind distributed 4100 smart cards of Ramadan Ration by donation of Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum in its giving agendas for the Holy Month of Ramadan, pointing at allocating basic foodstuff to the needy and poor families in the emirate of Dubai and northern areas. Ibrahim Boumelha, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, expressed his gratitude and thanks to Sheikha Hind for her moral and material support for numerous charitable projects, assumed by the Establishment for the benefit of the citizens and residents expatriates, mainly in the Holy Month of Ramadan.
