Hatta Winter Festival Creative Workshops Attracts All Visitors
This year, Hatta Winter Festival visitors will enjoy 140 diverse workshops suitable for all ages and interests.
The workshops focus on a range of simple artistic and handicraft skills with a creative touch.
Inspired by the rich natural and heritage landmarks of Hatta region, making it one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Dubai and the UAE in general.
Skills and Arts:
The workshops, available for free to festival attendees, cover a variety of skills such as:
- Engraving on wood, glass, mirrors, and metal surfaces
- Creating Islamic decorations on different surfaces
- Embroidery
- Decorating fabric bags with seashells
- Designing gift boxes
- Crafting simple yet creative products using elements from the environment
Local Environment Creations:
Among the workshops offered at Hatta Winter Festival there are concrete painting workshops presented by Alia Lootah and Noura Kalban from “Medaf.”
They also present workshops on decorating fabric panels with seashells, glass painting, cake decorating.
As well as Islamic decorations on metal surfaces, and painting on candles and fabric bags.
Aisha Jowhar offers a workshop on painting cups, Sheikha Mohammad runs an embroidery workshop.
While Sheikha Al-Maqbali offers a workshop on creative uses of beads.
Alhanouf from “The Swing House” offers workshops on embroidery arts on fabric bags, embroidering letters on bags.
Adding that Hatta Winter Festival presents workshops on mirror engraving arts using clay, and embroidery with a needle punch.
This is in collaboration with “MOFUN.”
Sheikha Obaid from “NSSFMA” teaches children to create different jewelry box designs besides wood and mirror painting.
“Embroidery House” provides lessons on needle punch usage skills and techniques.
Workshops for Children at Hatta Winter Festival
Hatta Winter Festival also ensures a significant portion of its activities is dedicated to children.
Brand Dubai, in collaboration with (MOFUN), offers specialized workshops suitable for children, including workshops on the below:
- Painting fabric bags
- Decorating plant pots
- Coloring models using acrylics
- Creating accessories with paracord ropes
- Decorating mirrors with clay

The Swing House Workshops for Children
“The Swing House” also offers children’s workshops in pillow embroidery and clay modeling.
In addition to designing mosaics inspired by Hatta’s nature, creatively attaching fabric pieces to clothes, and workshops on jewelry and bead design.
The workshops in the intensive activity schedule of Hatta Winter Festival are an ideal opportunity for both young and old.
By which they can connect with the surrounding nature and draw inspiration from the beauty of the Hatta region.
They use natural materials in artworks or explore traditional crafts innovatively.
Combining art and creativity with the local environment.
In order to promote sustainability values and build a community culture that combines innovation with the preservation of environmental and cultural heritage.
It is worth noting that Hatta Winter Festival began on December 13 and continues until January 12, 2025 in the Lake Lim area.
Adding that Dubai RTA, one of the initiative’s partners, provides a bus service (Hatta Express) with an average of 14 direct trips from Dubai to Hatta.
