H.H Sheikh Khalid Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office

Is a member of the Al Nahyan ruling family of the emirate of Abu Dhabi one of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi son.

Sheikh Khalid graduated from the American University of Sharjah (BSc, International Relations) and from King’s College London with a PhD from the Department of War Studies in 2014. Emirates Leader has released a Federal Verdict assigning Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the Deputy National Security Adviser at the degree of Minister.

Beforehand in 2016, His Highness Khalid had been chosen as head of national security with the rampant of a minister.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Executive Committee has witnessed the signing of the agreement between the Abu Dhabi Government and the XPRIZE Foundation, the global leader in incentivized prize competitions, in the presence of a number of government leaders and strategic partners. The contract is the major authority corporation until today for XPRIZE.

Sheikh Khalid, head of the Executive Committee and Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council said: “The Abu Dhabi Government’s long-term vision and focus on development drives the anticipation of global challenges.   By working with our international partners, we are able to find suitable solutions, especially on vital issues such as climate change, water scarcity and artificial intelligence. We follow paths that look forward to the future. The focus on R&D is at the forefront of these tracks because it presents the challenges in all dimensions and contributes to the provision of innovative solutions ensuring a prosperous and sustainable future for the next generation, without considering borders. This is a step in support of R&D and innovation, and it will be followed by several government initiatives in collaboration with the world’s leading institutions.”

His Highness also had a great rule on inaugurated new spaces within the Cultural Foundation, marking the completion of major renovation and maintenance work at one of Abu Dhabi’s most prominent cultural landmarks. Located in historic Al Hosn, in the heart of the capital, the Cultural Foundation’s new spaces include a 900-seat theatre and the all-new Abu Dhabi Children’s Library.

Developed in line with Abu Dhabi Government’s strategy to empower youth through cultural education, the most advanced and immersive library for young people in the UAE encourages youth to read, learn, create, discover and dream up the big ideas of the future.

His Highness explored the Traditional Establishment’s opening term visual arts exhibition, a solo show.  Innovative and contemporary in nature which highlighting the artist’s experimental and open approach to various geographical and historical influences. The exhibition is accompanied by a dedicated public programme including artist talks, workshops, masterclasses, guided tours, curated film screenings and other creative activities.

He then initiated one of the Cultural Foundation’s newest spaces, Bait al Khatt (House of Calligraphy), which has been designed as an educational hub with a focus on the historical and present-day teachings of calligraphy within Islamic culture. Classes are held daily throughout the year and are open to students of all ages and skill levels.

Sheikh also invested the new Abu Dhabi’s Children Library, which is set to become a centre for learning, discovery, and creative engagement for kids and families. Spread across three levels, the pop-up book themed oasis, desert, and exhibition spaces completely reconfigure what the word “library” means for young minds and big imaginations.
