Italy Shines at Gulfood 2024 in Dubai
The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) is participating in Gulfood 2024, the world’s largest annual food and beverage trade show.
The Italian pavilion will feature over 200 Italian food manufacturers and producers.
Mentioning that it spotlights agri-food products under “Made in Italy” label.
While 15 Italian chefs will offer a taste of Italy through food experiences.
Italian food exports to the UAE saw significant growth of 9.2% by October 2023.
In fact, the UAE represents a key market for Italian food exports.
Mentioning that it is s valuable opportunity for Italian companies to forge new partnerships.
Italian exports to the UAE surged 40% year-on-year to €419 million in December 2022,.
Due to the rising demand on Italian food and agricultural products.
This positive trend continued with €376.7 million recorded by October 2023, reflecting a 9.2% growth compared to the same period in 2022.
Strong Demand on Organic Italian Food.
Organic food exports also witnessed significant growth.
As 6% of Italy’s total exports in 2022 with a value of €3.4 million were going to the UAE.
This upward trajectory haven’t change throughout 2023.
Adding that the demand is increasing on Italian organic food due to the global trend towards healthy eating.
Which highlights Italy’s commitment to sustainability.
