900 Athletes from 30 Countries
Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro Association has announced the start of a new round of Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
This is the first time that the championship takes place in Xi’an, China, it begins today and will continue until 20-October.
This round features wide participation, with 900 athletes from 30 countries, including 25 Emirati players.
Both rising talents and professionals can showcase their skills in a highly competitive environment.
The championship does also include a Masters category.
This category is attracting players from different age groups.
It is also enhancing the global and inclusive nature of the event.
Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu Championship: A Global Platform for Chinese Athletes
The association emphasized that its championship series popularity is growing in the region.
Previous championships in China got over 50 million views and followers across various Chinese media outlets.
This boosted the sport’s popularity in the country.
The tournament offers a global platform for Chinese athletes.
So they can compete at international level.
It is also contributing to the development of local talent and strengthening ties between China and the international jiu-jitsu community.

Tariq Al Bahri, General Manager of International Vision Sports Management and the organizer of Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu Tour, said:
