Government Design Initiative is preparing for the next fifty years visions

Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed that the UAE is preparing for the next fifty years of development, relying on the visions of its talented citizens through Government Design Initiative.

This came in a statement by His Highness during the honoring ceremony of the first batch of “chief executives of government design” registered in the “Government Design Initiative”, which aims to train talented citizens from federal and local authorities who can integrate design concepts based on human development in government work.

The ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed said that The UAE government is proud of the Emirati citizen’s passion to shape the future of our country with distinct ideas and innovative tools, and is redefining the concepts and practices of government work through a long-term vision based on the ideas of talented people.

His Highness said that Our government has adopted non-traditional business models that focus on a joint design for the future and will achieve overall readiness and flexibility. We aim to prepare generations of government design experts to generate ideas about the future and its challenges and to devise comprehensive solutions that will advance government.

Government Design Initiative Visions

The Government Design Initiative organized by the United Arab Emirates government in cooperation with Palmwood Dubai is the first program of its kind in the world that focuses on integrating design principles into government work and creating a comprehensive design system based on individual experiences and community partnerships.

The Initiative also aims to achieve milestones in government work, such as developing best practices and making influential decisions, by improving government work mechanisms by taking advantage of innovative ideas from society.

The initiative aims to build the capabilities of employees, enhance their design skills, and train them to use new tools to enable them to find innovative solutions through research, data collection, and direct communication with the community, and designing government work models and changing traditional methods.
