“Global Labour Resilience Index 2024” (GLRI 2024) was released by the global consulting firm “Wychwood”, in conjunction with the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Moreover, the report examines the challenges facing labor markets.
Including the risks of climate change and the need to transition to a sustainable future.
The report finds that the most flexible labor markets are those that are able to adapt to disruptions and recover from them.
These markets are also more inclusive and sustainable.
The report ranks the countries with the most flexible labor markets.
Switzerland, Singapore, the UAE and Saudi Arabia are leading the way.
The UAE ranked highly in the Global Labour Resilience Index 2024 due to its focus on the green transition.
The report also examines the opportunities and challenges facing China and India.
China needs to provide its workforce with sustainable skills to meet the needs of the market and enable workers to keep up with the transition.
India needs a well-thought-out policy to create green jobs and achieve the transition in a fair way for everyone.
The green transition requires a number of policy changes.
Because it involves changes in the structure of the economy.
This requires targeted policies and the activation of institutions to promote sustainability in labor markets.

Green Standards
The transition to green standards carries many changes.
Which workers and businesses can quickly adapt to if they have the right conditions.
Such as macroeconomic stability, trade flexibility, and supportive governance systems.
Policies should also be put in place to reduce inequality during the green transition.
And to reduce the potential risks associated with this transition.
Building a sustainable future requires a greater focus on education and training.
As well as cooperation between public policymakers and private sector companies to put in place an agenda to provide workers with green skills.
Also to upgrade their existing skills, with a focus on young people who are responsible for leading the transition.
