Gaza Children are reaching Abu Dhabi to Receive Medical Treatment in the UAE health facilities.
Fati Ala, his mother, and a few Palestinians families of Gaza Children, were part of the first evacuation flight to Abu Dhabi from Egypt’s El Arish.
More flights will land in the coming days as the UAE wants the safety and well-being of Gaza children.
Mentioning 40 per cent of the total 13,000 fatalities in the conflict were children as per the UN estimates.
Once these children left the conflict zones and landed in Abu Dhabi, they were at ease by the warm welcome they received.
The team at the airport received Gaza children with parental care and compassion.
The children found a comforting touch, a hug, a reassurance that they were safe.
“This is the first of many flights. We will be bringing more injured children and women here”
In a moving gesture, an Emirati official stretched out his ghutra, the traditional headdress, to protect a young patient from sun as the toddler was moved from the flight to the ambulance.
And once at the hospital, UAE royal paid them a visit.
Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with injured children, adult family members.
As well as child cancer patients from Palestine.
All of them are receiving treatment in the Emirates under the orders of the President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to treat 1,000 Palestinian children at UAE healthcare facilities.
UAE President has also directed officials to fly in 1,000 Palestinian cancer patients so they can get treatment in UAE hospitals.
Evacuating Gaza children Operations took less than 15 hours.
A flight from Abu Dhabi land at Al Arish International Airport and evacuated the children in an efficient operation that lasted less than 15 hours.
However, they were hopeful of a better future in Abu Dhabi.
Yet the kids were fearful that they would never see their families again.
Little Hadid had been caught in a missile blast and undergone four surgeries in a short span of time.
With multiple fractures and injuries, he sobbed every time he was moved even though the doctors had administered morphine.
But how about the several operations which were conducted in Palestine without anaesthesia ?
Hadid’s father scooped him up with the gentleness of handling a baby.
Also he carried him across the plane because he could not walk.
Upon being loaded onto the ambulance, he flinched when the stretcher jolted ever so lightly.
How many horrors has his 14-year-old self seen, heard and felt that quick movements make him so uncomfortable ?
Hopefully there was over two dozen medical volunteers, who turned up for the mission- some on their days off.
They did their best to help the injured coming from Gaza.
Truce in Gaza is getting really close.
Iazzat Al-Rasheq talked today about a truce between Hamas and Israel.
The expected agreement will include the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for the release of Palestinian child and female prisoners in the occupation prisons.
Al-Rasheq said that the details of the truce will be announced soon.
He didn’t release any other details about the terms of the potential agreement.
U.S. President Joe Biden said on Monday that he believed an agreement was near.
White House spokesman John Kirby talked about the agreement.
Which aims at securing the release of some detainees in Gaza.
As well as announcing a truce that would allow the delivery of much-needed aid to the besieged Gaza Strip, “We are closer now than we have been before.”
As per some sources the truce will be for 5 days and detainees will be released in a number of groups.
However, nothing is clear till now ..
We will need to wait for the truce announcement which would be today.
The UN Humanitarian Truces Resolution.
The resolution was drafted by Malta and had the support of the 22-member Arab Group.
Including the UAE Ambassador to the UN Security Council who confirmed full support for the resolution.
Malta currently chairs the Security Council Working Group on Children and Armed Conflict.
According to the UN, the Russian ambassador to the UN proposed a verbal amendment to the draft resolution before the vote.
That would have called for “an immediate, permanent, and sustainable humanitarian truce leading to a cessation of hostilities.
The current president of the Security Council, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jun, put the amendment to a vote.
With five members supporting it, the United States opposing it, and nine members abstaining.
As a result, the amendment was not adopted because it did not receive the required number of votes.
This was the fifth attempt by the Council to adopt a resolution on the escalation in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
In previous attempts, the Council couldn’t adopt any of the draft resolutions that were put to a vote.
Either due to the use of a veto or the failure to receive the required number of votes.
