The G20 Indian Presidency invited the UAE to attend the forum of G20 which will start by tomorrow.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is participating in the 18th G20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi, India, on September 9-10, 2023.
Moreover, the G20 is an intergovernmental forum that brings together the world’s major economies to discuss and coordinate economic policies.
The lotus flower is the logo for G20 summit 2023, under the theme “One Earth – One Family – One Future.”
India has chosen the logo to be the lotus flower for this year’s summit, under the theme “One Earth – One Family – One Future.”
Since India believes that the logo and theme convey a strong message, which is “the pursuit of equitable and inclusive growth for all in the world.”
Moreover, India is focusing on the most pressed issues and files in the current agenda of the G20 summit this year.
Which include major global challenges, peace and stability, green development.
As well as climate and planetary conservation, accelerating progress in the Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition to technological transformation and digital infrastructure, poverty alleviation, food security, and climate finance.
The G20 summit will also consider the necessary responses to solutions aimed at addressing global crises.
Including climate change, which has threatened to worsen poverty, famine, humanitarian crises and forest fires.
It has also negatively affected sustainable development plans in a large number of countries.
Especially developing countries, and disruptions to global supply chains.
The UAE’s commitment to contributing positively to the work of the G20.
In fact, the UAE’s participation in the summit comes after the Indian presidency of the G20 invitation for the UAE to attend as a guest.

The UAE’s continuous participation in G20 provides many opportunities for coordination between different government entities in the UAE.
Since they will coordinate the latest development and reform trends.
The trade and investment relations between the UAE and G20 countries are growing significantly.
Actually, the non-oil trade between the two sides is evidence for the growing investments which reached $341 billion in 2022.
Which is equivalent to 55% of the UAE’s total foreign trade, with a growth of 21% compared to 2021.
This is in addition to a 56% and 34% increase compared to 2020 and 2019, respectively.
According to economic reports, the total stock of UAE direct investments in G20 countries exceeded $215 billion by the end of 2021.
Which represents 92.5% of UAE investments worldwide.
The total stock of investments by G20 countries in the UAE also exceeded $74.2 billion.
Also, this represents 43.3% of the total foreign direct investment (FDI) received by the UAE from all over the world.
