The UAE tops this year’s ranking for the most powerful businesswomen on Forbes Middle East
The most powerful businesswomen on Forbes Middle East annual list continue to make a significant impact across various sectors.
By leading some of the region’s most prominent local and international companies.
Forbes Middle East revealed that the UAE tops this year’s ranking with 46 women working within the country.
Solidifying its role as a business hub in the region.
Egypt followed with 18 women, and Saudi Arabia with nine.
In terms of nationalities, 18 Egyptian leaders topped the list.
They were followed by 11 Emirati leaders and nine Lebanese leaders.

An Emirati Businesswoman Topped the List
For the third consecutive year, Hana Al Rostamani, Group CEO of First Abu Dhabi Bank, claimed the top spot.
While Shaikha Khaled Al Bahar, Deputy Group CEO of the National Bank of Kuwait, secured second place.
And Shamsa Asif, Co-Founder and CEO of PureHealth Holding Group, came in third.
The top seven positions on the list remained unchanged since 2024.

However and for the first time, Tayba Al Hashemi, CEO of ADNOC Logistics & Services appeared within the top 10.
Along with Alisha Moopen, Deputy Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare – GCC and Suzan Al Anani, Executive Director of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise.
This year’s ranking also welcomed 27 new leaders.

The banking and financial services sector continued to dominate the list with 25 leaders.
Followed by the healthcare and technology sectors, each with nine leaders.
The venture capital sector featured five leaders.
Additionally, the banking and financial services sector accounted for 40% of the top 10 positions.
