Forbes Middle East Reveals Sixth Edition of 30 Under 30 List
Forbes Middle East has revealed the sixth edition of its annual 30 Under 30 list.
Which shines a spotlight on young innovators in the region under the age of 30 who are making an impact in various sectors.
This year’s list has expanded to include 120 participants, evenly distributed across four categories, each with 30 participants.
145 innovators on Forbes Middle East 30 Under 30 List, 43 of them are residents in the UAE.
This year’s list highlights the achievements of 145 innovators from 22 different nationalities.
Egyptians dominate the list with 44 people, followed by Saudis with 15, then Lebanon, UAE, and Jordan with 14, 13, and 10 people, respectively.
The list’s nominees reside in the Middle East, or conduct their main work and activities there.
Also they are spread across 20 countries, reflecting the diversity and impact of future leaders in the region.
With 43 of them residing in the UAE, followed by Egypt, which is home to 36 nominees, Saudi Arabia (14), Lebanon (9), and Jordan (6).
Each of the four categories on the list includes 30 participants.
Finance and E-Commerce category, the largest in terms of the number of participants with 44 people.
Followed by Science and Technology and Social Impact with 34 people each, while the Entertainment category includes 33 people.
The average age of the nominees is 26.6 years old, with the youngest being Egyptian table tennis player Hanaa Gouda (15 years old) and Iraqi weightlifter Ali Ammar Al-Rubaie (18 years old).

Entrepreneurs make up 74% of the total list with 107 founders of startups.
Moreover, the list includes Abdullah Abu Sheikh, (28 years old) who co-founded Astra Tech, a consumer technology services company based in the UAE.
Astra Tech is the most funded company on the list, having raised $500 million from G42 in 2022.
The list also includes Lebanese artist Walid Al-Halawani.
as well as Emirati businesswoman Amira Sajwani and Egyptian rapper Wegz.
In addition to founders of Saudi Reporters Abdullah and Abdulaziz Bakr and content creator Amr Maskoun and Moroccan footballer Sofiane Amrabat.

Which will bring together under-30 young innovators.
As well as a selected group of investors and business leaders in the Middle East under one umbrella.
To qualify for the list, you must be under the age of 30 on December 31, 2022.
This means that that your date of birth is from 1993 onwards.
You can be of any nationality, but the company or initiative led by the candidate must focus on serving the MENA Region.
To find promising young talent in the region, Forbes Middle East evaluated over 600 nominations in several rounds to prepare a shortlist of 240 nominees.
Then, a panel of judges, all of whom are experts in their fields, reviewed the nominees’ data.
In order to evaluate them and select those eligible for the final list, based on several factors, including:
-The impact of the nominees on the sectors they work in.
-Market and social impact.
-Future growth opportunities.
In addition to quantitative data and numbers, such as:
Size of funding, the awards won by the nominees, revenues and deal values.
The number of people they have impacted, and also the number of customers and followers on social media.
