ENOC Group, a leading integrated energy company in the UAE, has opened its first green hydrogen station at the Future Service Station in Dubai Expo City.
In fact, this marks a significant milestone in Dubai’s commitment to sustainability and green transition.
About the First Green Hydrogen Station by ENOC.
The station offers green hydrogen fuel, hydrocarbons (gasoline and diesel).
In addition to electric vehicle charging stations, making it the only one of its kind in the region.
This joint project between ENOC and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) supports the UAE’s National Hydrogen Strategy 2050 and the country’s hosting of COP 28.
Moreover, the opening strengthens the collaboration between ENOC and DEWA.
In order to promote hydrogen use in transportation.
Which is supporting Dubai’s Green Mobility Initiative 2030 and the development of the hydrogen economy in the UAE.

We should also mention that the UAE aims to produce 1.4 million tons of low-carbon hydrogen annually by 2031 and 15 million tons by 2050.
When it comes to producing green hydrogen, the renewable energy is used to produce it.
So it does not emit carbon dioxide and it is a clean sustainable fuel source.
However, the station features DEWA’s 1.25 MW PEM water electrolysis technology and can refuel up to 25 vehicles at a charging speed of around 7 minutes.
And ENOC is collaborating with Al Futtaim Motors/Toyota to test its first high-speed green hydrogen stations.
Impacts of ENOC Initiative.
This initiative positions Dubai as a global leader in clean energy and promotes technological advancements in the green hydrogen sector.
It also contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and diversifying energy sources.
And creates new opportunities for businesses and investors in the clean energy sector.
Overall, the opening of the green hydrogen station marks a significant step forward for Dubai’s clean energy goals.
It also sets a positive example for other countries to follow.
