Falcon Eye Satellite has successfully launched into space by Soyuz missile
With the 49th National Day of the country -the successful launch of the Falcon Eye Satellite into space by the Russian Soyuz missile from the French Guiana station on the northern coast of South America.
The first three stages were carried out by burning engines with fuel, the first three stages of the launch lasted for 8 minutes and 48 seconds, and the fourth stage was carried out by the unit of altitude and overhead guidance (FREGAT) to direct the moon to its synchronous low orbit with the sun, and it separated from the missile after 58 minutes.
Falcon Eye Satellite Phases
The satellite passed through several stages until it reached the launch stage, as it took 5 years to manufacture. The Emirati team includes competencies, and high national expertise from the armed forces in mega-projects management and engineering of military and space systems, and local and foreign experts and technicians in space manufacturing were merged with a group of young Emirati engineers.
The project team began working with manufacturers in designing, following up on the project’s agenda, developing, and manufacturing the system during their presence in the French installations in the cities of Toulouse and Cannes and began with the design phase of the moon by developing the technology and analyzing the overall performance of the designed system, and then manufacturing the devices and parts of the moon with the required specifications And subjecting the integrated satellite to severe and comprehensive tests to qualify it for the harsh space environment.
It was then transferred from the French city of Toulouse to the French city of Guiana on the first of last February, where, since the satellite, the technical team of the United Arab Emirates began preparing it for launch by conducting a series of tests at the launch site, which included a phase of tests fit the moon on the lunar carrier, and a phase Moon safety tests, hydrazine refueling phase, moon-rocket joint works phase, payload cover moon phase, moon fusion phase on the rocket, final launch readiness phase
Features of the Falcon Eye Satellite
The Falcon Eye Satellite provides global coverage for the next 10 years. The satellite is equipped with a high-definition and accurate imaging system. Once the satellite enters its low orbit around the Earth, it will start capturing satellite images of the Earth and sending them to the ground control station.
The moon’s orbit is distinguished by completing 15 rounds on the earth daily, and images will be received directly on the earth station of the Space Reconnaissance Center through polar stations. The images of the moon will be used in the fields of cartographic surveying, agricultural monitoring, urban planning, urban and urban planning, prevention and management of natural disasters, and monitoring of changes in the environment and desertification.
UAE Achievements in the field of Satellites
With the launch of Falcon Eye Satellite, the UAE is recording a new qualitative achievement that strengthens its position as a center for advanced satellites, as this satellite will become the fourth for monitoring owned by the state, bringing the number of state satellites to 12 besides several small cubic satellites for educational, research and development purposes In the fields of space technology.
This new achievement adds to the UAE’s expertise in satellites, as it had a lead years ago in launching the Yahsat project, which is the first project of its kind serving the military and civil sectors through its satellites in the Middle East region as it focuses on transmitting knowledge and space expertise, and system purchase and manufacture.
