UAE Commemoration Day is held annually on November 30.
This day is also known as Martyrs Day, and it holds a special place in the hearts of the nation’s citizens.

Announced by the late President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in 2015.
Why is it Celebrated ?
The date coincides with the passing of Salim Suhail bin Khamis Al Dahmani who died just days before the formation of the UAE in 1971.
The day is marked by a minute of silence at 11 am.
Followed by the national anthem “Ishy Bilady” sung at venues where flag ceremonies are held.
This practice underscores the nation’s respect and remembrance for its fallen heroes.
