Etihad Airways Celebrates 20 years of Service to India
Etihad Airways announced yesterday that it has operated over 172,000 flights, transporting more than 26 million passengers between India, the UAE, and beyond.
Marking 20 years since it launched services to Indian cities.
In a statement, Etihad celebrated the 20th anniversary of its services to India this month.
Moreover, the airline launched its first flight to Mumbai, India’s commercial capital, on September 26, 2004.
Followed by New Delhi on December 1, 2004.
176 weekly flights to 11 destinations across India.
Over the past years, Etihad’s network of destinations has seen significant expansion.
After adding flights to Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, and Jaipur earlier this year.
Etihad now operates 176 weekly flights to 11 destinations across India.
Providing exceptional services to travelers from India to the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, stated that India is a strategic market.
Moreover, they are proud to celebrate 20 years of operating flights to this country.
When Etihad launched its flights to Mumbai in 2004, it was the eighth international destination on its network.
Which has since expanded to 80 destinations, with a vision to operate to 125 destinations by 2023.
