Emirati projects in Hadhramaut – Yemen as part of the UAE continuous support for Yemeni People.
With the support of the United Arab Emirates Government, Emirati companies are investing in Yemen.
Moreover, Emirati companies and the Yemeni government have signed three contracts to implement strategic projects in the governorate of Hadhramaut.
These projects aim to improve electricity service and meet the local gas needs of the governorate and its neighboring areas.
Contract signing in Abu Dhabi
Within the framework of the UAE’s efforts to support Yemen in various service and development sectors.
The Yemeni ministers of electricity, energy, oil and minerals signed contracts with the Emirati companies in Abu Dhabi.
The Yemeni government officials expressed their gratitude for the UAE’s support and affirmed the importance of these strategic projects.
Due to the fact that Emirati projects in Hadhramaut are enhancing the development of the governorate and its services.
The three Strategic projects include the following:
-The construction of a gas-fired power plant.
-A gasoline refinery, tanks and a free zone.
In addition to a domestic gas unit.
Surely these projects will provide the local electricity and gas needs in Hadhramaut and its neighboring areas.
Within the last years, the UAE has funded and supported a number of strategic projects in Yemen.
Including the construction of the largest solar power plant in Yemen.
Moreover, this project will generate electricity from clean and renewable energy.
Which will reduce costs and carbon emissions.

We should also mention the UAE financial support for Yemen.
Since the UAE has provided a large financial deposit to support Yemen development.
This financial deposit was provided in cooperation with Saudi Arabia.
