Emirati Passport Took The First Position in the Middle East Region, while globally its the 12th among the strongest passports.
As per Henley Passport Index, which ranks the world’s most powerful passports, Emirati Passport made a huge advancement.
Since it has advanced three positions to take the 12th position globally and took the first position in the Middle East.
Now, Emirati Passport holders can travel to 179 destinations without a visa.
Over the past decade, the Emirati Passport has risen 44 places, from 56th in 2013.
Now, the Emirati Passport ranks alongside Cyprus in 12th place.

The study ranks passports by the number of destinations their holders can access without a visa in advance.
Furthermore, it is based on official data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Christian Kalin, chairman of Henley & Partners, said:
“The UAE has added 107 new visa-free destinations since 2013.
Resulting in a remarkable jump of 44 places in the rankings over the past decade, from 56th to 12th.
Surely the UAE is the only Gulf country to rank in the top 50.
Middle Eastern destinations have become more open to other travelers.
Henley’s sub-index of openness ranks countries by the number of nationalities they allow entry to without a visa in advance.
The UAE has achieved a high score as it has risen from 58 to 80 points since 2018, and it ranks 55th globally.

- Singapore topped the world rankings for the most powerful passports.
Since Singapore allows its passport holders to enter 192 countries without a visa. - While Germany, Italy and Spain took the second position.
- Austria, Finland, France, Japan, Luxembourg, South Korea and Sweden took the third position.
- Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands and the UK took the fourth position.
- Belgium, the Czech Republic, Malta, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal and Switzerland took the fifth position.
