This team, composed of elite young Emiratis, is competing in various fields to highlight professional and technical skills.
The UAE delegation includes Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Director General of ADVETI – Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute.
Along with several executive directors and skill experts who are supporting and guiding the UAE team at this prestigious international event.
Emirates Skills team consists of 17 competitors in 16 different skills.
Including aerospace engineering, automotive technology, healthcare and social care, and electronics.
About WorldSkills Lyon 2024
WorldSkills Lyon 2024 competition began on September 10, with French President Emmanuel Macron in attendance.
The event is an international competition showcasing technical and vocational skills.
Scheduled to take place from September 10 to September 15, 2024, in Lyon, France.
Moreover, it is part of the WorldSkills movement, which organizes global events to promote and recognize excellence in various trades and professions.
WorldSkills Lyon aims to highlight and celebrate the skills of young professionals from around the world.
Providing a platform for them to demonstrate their expertise and compete in various vocational disciplines.
Skilled young professionals, often aged between 18 and 25, represent their countries in a wide range of trades and technical fields.
These competitors are selected through national qualifying events.
