Mn Khairat Beladi 2nd Phase Launched by Emirates Red Crescent
Emirates Red Crescent has launched the second phase of “Mn Khairat Beladi” (From My Country Goods) initiative during its fourth season.
This was at Al Hayer area of Al Ain.
The initiative is carried out in collaboration with:
- Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority
- Abu Dhabi City Municipality, and the volunteer teams “Thank You for Your Giving” and “Rabdan.”
“Mn Khairat Beladi” initiative is part of Emirates Red Crescent’s “Nema” (Blessing) project.
It aims to involve agricultural institutions and farm owners, by contributing diverse agricultural products.
Fostering Social Cohesion
Mn Khairat Beladi products are then distributed to needy families and orphans.
This fosters social cohesion among different segments of society in the UAE.
Sultan Al Shuhi, director of “Nema” project at Emirates Red Crescent, stated:
“Today, we are present in Abu Dhabi to receive donations from farmers during the fourth season.
That includes the dates, lemon, and summer vegetables harvest.”
He emphasized that it is important to encourage farmers and agricultural institutions.
So they can support underprivileged families, by providing safe and high-quality agricultural products, particularly dates.
While also promoting awareness about purchasing dates from reliable and approved sources.
Robotic Technology Introduced
As part of this initiative, robotic technology in distribution has been introduced this year.
Reflecting the Emirates Red Crescent’s commitment to leveraging technology in humanitarian work.
Sheikha Mohammed Al Abdouli, a community participation specialist at Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, expressed their dedication to instilling values of giving, involving farmers in “Mn Khairat Beladi” initiative.
The initiative reinforces the spirit of community giving and solidarity across different societal groups.
By allowing farmers to donate part of their harvest during the summer season.
