Emirates Group is inviting experienced Airbus captains to join the airline under the Direct Entry Captains program to fly its Airbus A380 fleet.

In a statement, the airline said that interested pilots and their families can join an online information session at 1pm Dubai time on October 4.

3000 hours of flying time
Emirates is running the Direct Entry Captains program for skilled captains.
Moreover, the captains should have completed at least 3000 hours of flying time on modern wide-body Airbus aircraft.
Candidates must also have a total of at least 7000 hours of flying time on multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft, in addition to meeting other eligibility criteria.

Current Emirates facilities include 10 full-motion Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 simulators.

The airline is scheduled to open its new $135 million high-tech pilot training facility in March 2024.
The new facility will be 63,300 square feet in size and will provide an additional 54% training capacity.

Rapid Command Track
The Rapid Command Track program is designed for Airbus pilots who are currently flying narrow-body aircraft.
And have at least 1,500 hours of flying experience.
They join as First Officers to fly A380 aircraft with enhanced benefits.
After at least 700 hours of flying and passing two consecutive assessments.
They become eligible for a rapid promotion to Captain, which typically takes place within a little over a year.
