Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Group, the Emirates Group has decided to increase the basic salaries of its employees along with fixed allowances.Emirates group announced several salary and benefits changes for its employees, effective from July 1, 2024.
According to the company, these changes reflect the group’s commitment to supporting its employees.
They also enhance Emirates’ ambition to be a leader in the aviation and air services sectors.
The new changes will provide more comprehensive policies with a family-oriented focus, emphasizing the improvement of health and well-being for all colleagues.
Details About Emirates Group Salary Increases:
- A 4% increase in the basic salary.
- A 4% increase in transportation allowances and proof allowances for UAE nationals.
- A 4% increase in flying allowances and production allowances for cockpit and cabin crew.
- A 15% increase in housing allowances for employees from levels EK01 to EK06 and equivalent grades, and from CC00 to CC04.
- A 10% increase in housing allowances for employees from levels EK07 and above, and from FD04 to FD07, and IT06 to IT10, and TE/TS01 to TE/TS04.
The company clarified that details of the new basic salary and fixed allowances would be provided in the contract amendment letter on the Human Resources portal on Monday, July 22, 2024.
Additional Benefits:
- An increase in paid maternity leave from 60 to 90 days.
- Extended breastfeeding break for new mothers from one hour to two hours per day.
- An increase in paid parental leave from 5 to 10 working days.
- The company will now cover the employee’s contribution to life insurance premiums for levels EK01 to EK05 and equivalent grades.
- Improved long-term sick leave for employees from EK01 to EK08 and equivalent levels, effective from September 2024.
- A 10% increase in education support allowances, also effective from September 1, 2024.
Mentioning that details of long-term sick leave would be shared at the end of August.

Exceptions: The increase in basic salary will not apply to employees who:
- Have not completed their probation period by or before July 1, 2024.
- Submit their resignation notice on July 1, 2024.
- Have a valid final written warning or a level-three warning in effect on July 1, 2024.
- Are subject to disciplinary procedures that may lead to termination.
