It seems that billionaire Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and a figure of significant influence, is seeking to expand his reach to include his own private city.
After the expansion of his company SpaceX in Texas, Musk plans to transform the “Starbase” site into an independent city, an unprecedented move that highlights his futuristic vision.
The Beginning of a Dream
Musk’s decision to move from California to Texas was a result of disagreements with political policies and laws he didn’t agree with.

“This is the final straw… SpaceX headquarters is moving to Starbase, Texas.”

SpaceX’s main launch site is located in the Starbase area, which has gradually transformed into a community of about 500 people.

According to the submitted petition, Elon Musk proposed city would cover an area of 1.5 square miles, slightly larger than Central Park.
In a letter to local authorities, Katherine Lauder, general manager of Starbase, explained that creating the city would “simplify operations and provide the necessary facilities to make the area a global center for living and working.”
Despite the ambitious plans, Musk’s project faces opposition from local residents.
An environmental group has filed a lawsuit against SpaceX.
Alleging environmental violations and the dumping of polluted water into the nearby bay.

If Starbase project receives legal approval, Gunnar Melborn, SpaceX’s security director, may become the city’s first mayor.
