EDGE Group and Airbus Defense and Space Agreement is the 2nd Largest one in the World
EPI is a UAE-based company specializing in precision engineering across aerospace, aviation, oil and gas, and defense sectors and a subsidiary of the EDGE Group. It has signed a serial production contract with Airbus Defense and Space, a division of Airbus and Europe’s largest defense and space company.
This agreement is the second largest one in the world within the aerospace and military sectors.
It involves the production of movable cargo compartment tanks for the C-295 aircraft.
EPI Will Transition Into Assembling Identifiable Subsystem Units
Under this agreement, both companies will collaborate exclusively over the next five years.
On the serial production of movable cargo compartment tanks for the C-295 aircraft.
This comes after the successful prototype phase, which included acquiring 12 special assembly certifications.
The agreement also covers the integration of 300 manufactured parts, 16,000 fasteners, center of gravity testing, and leakage tests.
Additionally, this collaboration will help EPI transition into assembling identifiable subsystem units for aircraft programs.

The agreement was signed by Michael Duchesne, CEO of EPI, and Anna Jacobs, Head of Assembly and Materials at Airbus Defense and Space.

The jointly designed movable cargo tank, produced by Airbus and EPI, is intended for versatile applications.
Including ground refueling, extended range missions, and in-flight refueling.
This partnership also highlights Airbus’s commitment to advancing the UAE’s aerospace and defense sectors.
