How to check Abu Dhabi visa status ?
- Visit the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) website.
- You will need your application number and reference number to track your visa application.
- Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah visa check is the same.
How to check Dubai visa status ?
- Visit the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA) website.
- Alternatively, you can use the DubaiNow app to check the status of your visa application.
How to check UAE Visa validity ?
- For visas issued in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah, check the validity on the ICP website.
- For visas issued in Dubai, check the validity on the GDRFA website.
How to check UAE visa status with Passport Number ?
Another way to check UAE visa status online is by using your passport number, following the below simple steps:
For Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah:
- Visit the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) website.
- Click on “Public Services.”
- Select “File Validity” and choose “Passport Information.”
- Select “Visa” and enter your passport number, expiration date, and nationality.
- Complete the CAPTCHA verification and click “Search.”
- Your UAE visa status will be displayed on the screen.
For Dubai:
- Visit the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA) website.
- Navigate to the “Visa Inquiry” section.
- Enter your passport number, expiration date, and nationality.
- Complete the CAPTCHA verification and click “Submit.”
- Your UAE visa status will be displayed on the screen.
Emirates ID Tracking:
In case you are holding Emirates ID, you can track its status online through the official channels.
Here are the steps:
- Visit the ICA website: Go to the ID Card Status page on the ICA website.
- Enter your details: Input your PRAN (application number) or Emirates ID number.
- Check status: Click on the ‘Check’ button to view the current status of your ID.
Alternatively, you can also use the Emirates Post website to track your ID by entering your tracking number.
New Guidelines for Travelers Entering the UAE with a Tourist Visa
Effective Immediately: All passengers traveling to the United Arab Emirates with a tourist visa must adhere to the following instructions to be allowed to travel and enter the country:
- Return Ticket:
The traveler must hold a valid return ticket within the visa duration. - Proof of Accommodation:
The traveler must present a confirmed hotel booking or a residential address with a contact phone number for their stay in the UAE.

- Sufficient Funds:
The traveler must have sufficient funds in cash (at least $500) or an equivalent amount, or a credit card in the traveler’s name to cover expenses during the stay.
