The plan is to start the marathon at the towering Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Marathon combines modern architecture, live bands and a fast route.
It is recognised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) as a Gold Label race, placing it in the same category as races such as the New York City Marathon, Boston Marathon, and London Marathon.
Considering the rules everyone can register by visiting official Dubai Marathon website (see information box below). Marathon entrants must be at least 18.
The race starts on Umm Suqeim Road in Al Sufouh, near the Madinat Jumeirah. The route follows the Dubai coastline. Runners first turn right onto Jumeriah Beach Road and head up to Union House in Jumeirah, passing the Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Jumeirah Beach Park.
When they reaching Union House, runners then turn back, and continue past the starting point onto Al Sufouh Road. The route continues to Dubai Media City, passing the Palm Jumeirah. At Dubai Media City runners turn back and head back to the finish line on Umm Suqeim Road.

Start & Finish
Marathon will start on the Suqeim Road opposite the Madinat Jumeirah and in the shadow of the iconic Burj Al Arab. All of these starts will be at the Madinat Jumeirah end of Umm Suqeim Road. The 4km will start off the Umm Suqeim Road on Al Sufouh opposite the Madinat Jumeirah.
