Dubai International Humanitarian City (IHC) Boasts Significant Growth in Humanitarian Aid Stockpiles
Dubai International Humanitarian City (IHC), also known as “Dubai Cares,” has witnessed a remarkable surge in its stockpile of humanitarian aid.
Moreover, the value of stored supplies currently ranging between $190 and $195 million.
This represents a substantial 333% increase compared to the estimated maximum aid value of $45 million just seven years ago.
Expanding Presence
According to Giuseppe Saba, CEO of IHC, this growth reflects the expanding presence of the humanitarian community in Dubai.
In addition to the city’s rapid response to emergencies.
He highlighted that over 1,200 shipments are dispatched annually.
Which are delivering humanitarian aid worth an average of $140 to $150 million to 135 countries worldwide.
Saba emphasized IHC’s commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, stating:
“Dubai Cares has accomplished a great deal over the past two decades.
We have even more to offer in the realm of humanitarian work.
We are also working on sustainable initiatives and carbon emission reduction strategies.
As well as awareness campaigns to encourage both young and old to participate in humanitarian initiatives in countries in need.”

He stressed the importance of global preparedness for emergencies and crises.

This is through innovative and appropriate solutions to provide food security.
“This can be achieved if we are able to work together,” he affirmed, “and the numbers we have today in our world are truly impressive.
It is no coincidence that we have become the largest humanitarian organization in the world.”
