Dubai International Chamber attracted 50% of Asian and Australian Multinational Companies
Dubai International Chamber (DCI) revealed that Asian and Australian multinational companies (MNCs) marked 50% of companies attracted to Dubai in 2023.
Which highlights Dubai’s importance as a major commercial and investment hub for leading international companies.
Diverse Geographic Origins:
Dubai International Chamber efforts to attract MNCs through its network of offices around the world resulted in a diverse range of nationalities and markets.
Latin America and Europe accounted for 23.5% of the total MNCs attracted by DCI in 2023.
While the Middle East and Eurasia region also accounted for 23.5%. Africa’s share of the total companies attracted was 3%.
Key sectors Attracted by Dubai International Chamber:
In terms of the main sectors in which these companies operate, 18% of the MNCs attracted by Dubai International Chamber last year are active in the financial sector.
This includes banking, asset and wealth management, fintech, insurance, and consulting.
The trade and logistics sector came in second, with 15% of the attracted companies operating in this field.
The information technology sector followed in third place, accounting for 12% of the companies’ specializations.
Including artificial intelligence, blockchain, robotics, and software.
Retail, fashion, tourism, travel, and hospitality sectors tied for fourth place, accounting for 9% of the total MNCs attracted.
A group of sectors shared fifth place, each accounting for 6% of the total companies.
These include the industrial sector, the transportation and space sector (including autonomous and traditional vehicles), and the real estate sector.
Remarkable Growth:
In 2023, DCI successfully attracted 34 multinational companies.
Which is representing a year-on-year growth of 580% compared to 2022.
This reflects its active contribution to achieving the objectives of Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
Which aims at doubling the size of the emirate’s economy over the next decade by 2033.
And also establish its position among the top 3 economic cities in the world.

The total number of foreign offices operated by Dubai International Chamber has increased to 31 with the opening of 16 new offices in 2023 alone.
This is in line with “Dubai Global” initiative to establish an integrated network of 50 trade promotion offices for Dubai around the world in the coming years.
