Dubai Air Taxi Service Launching Will Be in 2026
The UAE, particularly Dubai, is pioneering an air taxi service set to launch by 2026, marking a significant step in urban air mobility.
Developed in collaboration with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Skyports, and Joby Aviation.
This electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) service will use specially designed “vertiports” near key locations.
The aerial taxis are expected to offer a rapid, convenient alternative to ground travel, with flights on main routes.
For example, it will reduce car trip between Dubai International and Palm Jumeirah from 45 minutes to just 10 minutes by air.

The First Phase
The service will initially involve Joby’s five-seater eVTOL aircraft.
This aircraft can fly up to 150 miles on a single charge at a top speed of 200 mph.
Dubai aerial taxi project integrates with Dubai’s existing transportation infrastructure.
It reflects the city’s commitment to advancing sustainable, innovative mobility solutions for residents and tourists alike.
Dubai aerial taxi vertiports building and certifying are part from the first phase in developing Dubai air taxi service.
Which has already started, and it will surely meet high safety and environmental standards.
