Yesterday, Dubai Duty Free (DDF) marked its 40th anniversary with a special 24-hour sale.
By offering 25% discounts on a wide range of products across both Dubai International and Al Maktoum International airports.
The promotion saw a significant increase in passenger purchases, both at the airports and online, indicating a strong end to 2023 for the duty-free operator.
Dubai Duty Free anniversary … An opportunity to express gratitude.
Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of DDF , viewed the anniversary celebration as an opportunity to express gratitude to customers, employees, and partners.
He stated:
“I join the Chairman, H.H Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Duty Free , in celebrating this special occasion and wish everyone joyous festive celebrations.
I would also like to emphasize that 2023 has been a fantastic year.”
Throughout the past few days, Dubai Duty Free hosted anniversary celebrations at various locations.
Including Terminal 2 at Al Maktoum International Airport, the executive team’s headquarters, Terminal 3, Concourse A, Hatta Border Store, and Terminal 1, Concourse D at Dubai International Airport.

Celebrations Everywhere.
The festivities kicked off at the Irish Village in Al Quoz.
With the announcement of the winner of DDF Shopping List with Dubai 92 radio show, who received a prize of 40,000 dirhams.
The celebrations continued at Dubai International Airport.
As the executive team went to Terminal 3, Concourse C, and Control Tower 3 for the traditional cake-cutting ceremony.
They then proceeded to Concourse B for another celebration.
Where they hosted the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw and conducted the raffles.
The promotional series saw the draw of series 443 and 444 for the coveted Millennium Millionaire prize.
In fact, the 40th anniversary celebration was a resounding success.
And the spread of festivities across various locations further enhanced awareness and engagement with the celebratory occasion.
Looking ahead, 2024 promises to be a year of continued growth and prosperity for Dubai Duty Free.
