Dubai Culture announces the launch of the 2024 Dubai Art Season
Dubai Culture has announced the launch of 2024 Dubai Art Season, which will run from January 12, 2024 until March 7, 2024.
The season is themed “Explore the World of Art and Creativity” and features a variety of initiatives, entertainment events, and art festivals.
This is in line with the Authority’s commitment to enhancing the contribution of the arts to the vibrant cultural scene in Dubai.
And also to establish the Emirate as a global center for culture, a hub for creativity, and a meeting place for talent.
Dubai Art Season 2024 Bridging the Gap Between Creators and the Public.
As it reflects the spirit of the Emirate of Dubai and its essence.
As well as the capabilities and potential it possesses.
It also reflects Dubai ability to attract talented people from all over the world.
Through it, Dubai Culture seeks to support the cultural tourism and Dubai’s creative economy.
Which the Emirate aspires to be the global capital of by 2026.
Dubai Art Season contributes to opening up horizons for creators, intellectuals and artists.
It is also creating a sustainable environment that enables them to express their views and visions in various fields.
This is in line with the Authority’s efforts to develop their spirit of innovation and encourage them to showcase their work to all segments of society.
Dubai Culture offers a rich program of specialized events
Dubai Art Season 2024 kicks off with the third edition of the “Marmum: A Film in the Desert” Festival.
Which will run from today, January 12, until January 21, 2024.
Through it, Dubai Culture offers a rich program of specialized events aimed at promoting the sustainability of the film industry in the region.
The festival, which carries the slogan “Stories Told by Nature,” will screen more than 70 films by a number of Emirati, Gulf, and Arab filmmakers.
It will also include more than 30 workshops, 10 seminars and discussion sessions.
As well as a variety of exhibitions and artworks inspired by the history of local cinema.
Meanwhile, Expo City Dubai is preparing to launch the first edition of the “Dubai Light Festival”, organized in strategic partnership with Dubai Culture in Al Wasl Square.
From January 26, 2024 until February 4, 2024.
A series of unique experiences which combine the wonders of art and culture with the deep effects of light.
Al Quoz Arts Festival
The eleventh edition of the “Al Quoz Arts Festival” will return with a rich program of more than 200 art and cultural events on January 27 and 28, 2024.
The festival is supported and organized in strategic partnership with Dubai Culture in Al Quoz Creative Zone and Alserkal Avenue.
And it will feature a selection of musical performances and exceptional cultural experiences.
One of the experiences is an interactive installation created by Japanese artist Yuri Suzuki, who is based in London.
The installation challenges our perceptions of natural and artificial forms through a composite work that uses pipes and trumpets.
The events of Dubai Art Season will continue with the 16th edition of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature.
Which will run from January 31 to February 6, 2024 at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City Hotel.
The festival’s program brings together a selection of writers, creators, and thinkers from around the world.

It will witness the organization of more than 160 events.
Including: “And We Love Life,” a special night of poetry and performance in tribute to the works of the late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish.
As well as “In Emirati” event, through which Dubai Culture highlights the experiences of Emirati writers and their contributions to enriching local culture.
While the Authority celebrates visual arts and local and regional artistic creations through the “Sikka Art and Design Festival”.
This is during the 12th edition of the festival, which will be held in the historic district of Al Shindagha from February 23 to March 3, 2024.
The public will follow a selection of distinctive artworks by Emirati and resident artists in the UAE.
In addition to a range of entertainment, musical, and workshop and discussion sessions.
“Big Bad Wolf” Exhibition
The public will also have the opportunity to attend the “Big Bad Wolf” exhibition.
From February 28 to March 10, 2024 in Dubai Studio City.
And it will showcase a wide range of books and publications at discounts of up to 75%.
Throughout the months of February and March 2024, Al Quoz Creative Zone and Alserkal Avenue will host a series of cultural and creative events.
Including many art exhibitions, conversations, and diverse experiences.
The events will also include “art tours” designed to provide alternative ways to interact with the world of art and engage with it.
During the period from March 4 to 8, 2024, the public can see the creativity of school students on stage.
This is at the fourth edition of the Dubai School Theater Festival, organized by Dubai Culture.
The season’s program also includes the 17th edition of Art Dubai exhibition.
Which will be in Jumeirah from March 1 to 3, 2024.
The exhibition will offer visitors the opportunity to see contemporary and modern art from around the world.
As well as a variety of workshops and discussion sessions led by a selection of experts and artists.
This edition will feature the participation of more than 100 galleries across the exhibition’s four sections:
Contemporary, Modern, Gate, and Art Dubai Digital.
Meanwhile, Dubai Opera is preparing to present a series of musical and theatrical performances throughout the coming year.
That will showcase the creativity of regional and international talent in the fields of performing arts and music.
