Dubai Airports Strategy

Dubai Airports has developed its infrastructure through the innovation strategy it has adopted upgrade traffic safety standards on the airport yard and ensure its effectiveness in different weather conditions. We have developed several projects through the Innovation Engineering Services Laboratory with the aim of proactive thinking to develop the supposed future solutions In the airport environment full of challenges around the clock, and one of the most prominent projects we have created is the “Follow the Green Light” project to establish the safety and security components in the management of ground operations.

The project is automatically operating a series of lights installed on the take-off and landing paths, whereby the air navigation systems and ground systems are linked to the purpose of directing the aircraft electronically, while this process is usually done by receiving directions and communicating with the control tower.

The project aims to upgrade airport yard operations to a smarter level, as Dubai airports will accommodate air traffic more easily while enhancing safety and performance levels on time.
