Dubai Airport Maintains its Dominance in the Middle East:
Dubai Airport continues to capture the lion’s share of the busiest flight routes in the Middle East during March 2024.
Data released by OAG, a global provider of airport and airline data, shows that 6 of the top 10 busiest flight routes in the region (or 60%) originate from or fly to Dubai Airport.

Moreover, Dubai-Riyadh route ranked second in the region in terms of international seat capacity in March, with around 303,400 seats.
Followed by Dubai-London Heathrow route, which ranked third in the region with a total of 284,300 seats.
The data showed that Dubai-Jeddah route came in fourth with 274,800 seats.
Followed by Mumbai-Dubai route in fifth with 241,900 seats.
Delhi-Dubai route came in seventh with 207,700 seats, and the Dubai-Kuwait route ranked ninth with 185,100 seats.
Cairo-Jeddah route ranked first in the region in terms of international scheduled seat capacity in March with around 524,600 seats.
While Cairo-Riyadh route came in sixth place in the region with 237,100 seats.
4.98 Million Scheduled Seats in March 2024 Only
Data published by OAG also showed that the total number of scheduled seats on international flights through Dubai Airport reached around 4.98 million during March 2024.
This maintains its position as the largest international airport in terms of scheduled international seat capacity.
By a significant margin compared to London Heathrow Airport, which ranked second.
