Dubai Welcomes 50 Golfers
DP World Tour top 50 golfers in “Race to Dubai” will participate in DP World Tour Championship final round.
Which will be at Jumeirah Golf Estates from November 14-17, 2024.
H.E Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of Dubai Sports Council, and Tom Phillips, Executive Director of DP World Tour in the Middle East, discussed the event in a press conference.
The 3 times DP World Tour winner “Scottish golfer Ewen Ferguson” joined them with Nasser Aman Al Rahma, Assistant Secretary-General of Dubai Sports Council.
Before the press event, DP World Tour Championship trophy and ceremonial staff were displayed in Dubai Design District, in front of Burj Khalifa.
The show attracted many visitors and workers in the district, renowned for housing top design and media companies.
79,000 Spectators Attended the Last DP World Tour Championship
Saeed Hareb expressed pride in Dubai’s status as a global golf destination.
He added that the last DP World Tour Championship broke the records with the attendance of 79,000 spectators.
Hareb attributed Dubai’s appeal to its exceptional golf courses, advanced facilities, and tourism infrastructure.
All of them made Dubai a prime location for prestigious golf events.
Tom Phillips highlighted the exciting atmosphere surrounding the tournament.
Mentioning that it will feature family-oriented activities, Ladies Day, and other festive events.
While Phillips emphasized the tournament’s unique appeal as the season finale and first qualifier for DP World Tour Championship.
He emphasized that it raises anticipation for golfers and fans alike.

In the same context, Ewen Ferguson shared his enthusiasm for competing in Dubai, especially at the renowned Earth Course, one of the best in the world.
He praised Dubai as an ideal place for golf, with its safety, mild weather, and exceptional facilities.
DP World Tour includes 44 tournaments across 24 countries, concluding with the top 50 players in Dubai.
The star-studded lineup will include:
Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Billy Horschel, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose and Adam Scott
As well as Robert MacIntyre, and Ewen Ferguson, among others.
