DP World Global Education Platform to Empower Students and Teachers
DP World global education platform will provide students and teachers with resources and training in the fields of:
Science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and logistics.
This platform is part of DP World’s commitment to invest AED 128.5 million (USD 35 million) in education initiatives by 2030.
Moreover, DP World Platform offers more than 15 free-to-use, customized educational resources and online courses for students ages 11-18, as well as for teachers and employees.
In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Mentioning that the resources focus on promoting green skills, digital skills, and STEM, as well as logistics.
DP World has partnered with many organizations to enrich the platform with valuable resources.
DP World partners include: Jane Goodall Institute, WaterAid, Minding My Waste, and the Blue Marine Foundation.
Mentioning that the education platform is designed to help students understand the logistics industry.
In addition, it highlight the essential skills for success in companies like DP World.
The platform includes tutorials and training materials.
As well as a unique opportunity for students to earn a free, industry-recognized certificate in Container Terminal Operations (CTO) from DP World.
Which will support their personal and professional development.
DP World is also partnering with Teach for All and its partners.
They will work to ensure that students and teachers have the future-ready skills they need to succeed in the changing job market through the “Future of Work” initiative.
The “Future of Work” initiative will focus specifically on South Africa, Senegal, Argentina, and Pakistan.
Where DP World has large-scale operations – to provide collective training and resources on education and climate-related skills.
DP World aims to reach 1.5 million students by 2030
Through its education strategy, DP World aims to reach 1.5 million students by 2030.
With a focus on promoting knowledge transfer and skill development, especially among women and girls.
According to the United Nations, without additional measures, only one in six countries will be on track to achieve the goal of completing secondary education by 2030.
An estimated 84 million children and youth will still be out of school.
While about 300 million students will lack basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, which are essential skills for success in life.
