Growing US Presence at DMCC:
As part of its ambitious global roadshow 2024, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre “DMCC” concluded its latest Made for Trade Live roadshow in Washington, DC.
DMCC witnessed a 10% year-on-year increase in the number of American companies registered in its international business district in 2023.
Taking total American membership to 679 – about 45% of the 1,500 American businesses in the UAE.
The roadshow builds on the growing bilateral ties between the United States and the UAE in trade and investment.
Mentioning that the events highlighted opportunities for American businesses within the digital economy.
As the UAE-US Economic Policy Dialogue affirms economic ties.
100 American Business Leaders Attend:
The events were attended by 100 American business leaders.
The speakers and DMCC delegation highlighted the available opportunities for US companies.
So they can expand their operations in the Middle East.
Noting that DMCC is playing a pivotal role in enabling these companies access to some of the fastest-growing markets globally from Dubai.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, said:
“With a 10% increase in the number of US companies year-on-year, the United States continues to be a major source of foreign investment for DMCC.
We are proud to be the business hub of choice for American companies in the region.
Last year, we achieved our second-highest annual growth in our history …
With over 60 new American companies joining besides 2,700 other global businesses.
This high level of interest reflects the major investments we have made in our business district infrastructure.
Including the opening of Uptown Tower.
In addition to the continued expansion and construction of the prime office space next phase.
In order to meet the needs of new international companies coming to Dubai.”
