CEO of DEWA Discusses Promising Investment Opportunities With China
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), met with Ou Boqian, the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China.
This was in in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
They discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the energy and water sectors.
As well as promising investment opportunities.
CEO of DEWA emphasized the importance of strategic collaboration and partnerships with Chinese companies, particularly in the field of renewable energy.
Such collaboration aligns with Dubai’s clean energy goals.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on best practices.
As well as the available opportunities in solar energy, energy storage, smart grid infrastructure, and other related areas.
Dubai: A Global Hub For Clean Energy
HE Al Tayer reaffirmed DEWA’s commitment to accelerating the energy transition.
Which is solidifying Dubai’s position as a global hub for clean energy and the green economy.
This aligns with the visionary leadership’s goals and Dubai’s Carbon Neutrality Strategy 2050.
Which aims to achieve 100% clean energy production by 2050.
The discussion also covered the participation of Chinese companies in DEWA’s exhibitions and conferences.
Including the Water, Energy, and Environment Technology Exhibition (WETEX).
China Praises UAE Achievements in Sustainable Development
HE Al Tayer highlighted DEWA’s collaboration with major Chinese companies across various energy fields, especially in clean and renewable energy.
Many Chinese companies are involved in DEWA’s projects.
Such as Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park and Hassyan Energy Complex under the Independent Power Producer (IPP) model.
