“TRENDS” Research Tour in South Africa Starting Soon
TRENDS has announced the details of its research tour to South Africa, which will take place from July 23 to August 5, 2024.
The tour aims to strengthen research ties between the UAE and South Africa.
It also aims at identifying collaboration opportunities in various fields.
The tour will include visits to a number of leading research institutions in South Africa, including:
- University of Cape Town
- Stellenbosch University
- University of Johannesburg
- South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA)
During the tour, TRENDS researchers will meet with leading academics and experts in a number of fields, including:
- Science and technology
- Social sciences
- Economics
- Public policy
The tour will also include a number of workshops and seminars on topics of mutual interest.
TRENDS hopes that the tour will lead to the development of new partnerships and collaborations between UAE and South African researchers.
The center also believes that the tour will help to raise awareness of the UAE’s research capabilities in South Africa.
TRENDS Events in South Africa:
- A public lecture on the future of the UAE
- A roundtable discussion on UAE-South Africa relations
- A networking event for UAE and South African researchers
These events will surely promote cultural exchange and understanding between the UAE and South Africa.
The center is currently working on a number of research projects with partners in over 20 countries.
Mentioning that TRENDS research tour to South Africa is part its efforts to strengthen its international research network.
