A new sustainable complex by Jebel Ali Free Zone and Eaton
Today, Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) and Eaton have signed an agreement.
According to this agreement they will build a new sustainable complex.
This complex combines commercial and industrial functions in support of Eaton’s operations in Dubai, while providing future growth capacity.
The project aims to expand Eaton’s capabilities in research, engineering, and manufacturing.
It also seeks to significantly enhance Dubai’s capabilities in advanced manufacturing of electrical and electronic components.
As they are necessary for safe and efficient energy solutions across various industries, including data centers, buildings, and solar energy applications.
A State of Art Center
The facility will cover an area of over 500,000 square feet.
Mentioning that the construction will begin in 2025, and will be complete in 2026.
In addition to manufacturing, the facility will house research and development facilities.
It will feature a state-of-the-art center dedicated to sustainable manufacturing, energy management, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other related fields.
As per expectations, the project will create around 700 jobs, ranging from highly skilled engineering positions to advanced manufacturing roles.
Moreover, the complex will leverage sustainable technology and demonstrate how commercial and industrial buildings can play a vital role in the energy transition.
It will be fully digitally enabled, utilizing automation, analytics, and advanced robotics to optimize production processes.
In addition, it is fully embracing the principles of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The facility will set new standards for sustainable buildings and advanced manufacturing in the region.
Supporting Dubai’s economic agenda ‘D33.’
The signing ceremony took place in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
This was in the presence of His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World, and Craig Arnold, Chairman and CEO of Eaton.
Along with senior management from both companies.
In his remarks during the signing ceremony, His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem stated:
“This strategic partnership with Eaton represents significant progress in our efforts to develop smart manufacturing facilities in Jebel Ali.
It is directly supporting Dubai’s economic agenda ‘D33.’
Our goal is to enhance Dubai’s position as a global hub for automated and high-tech manufacturing.
Once the facility operates at full capacity, it is expected to have a tangible impact on the UAE’s economy.
It will also contribute to the transition towards sustainable energy, providing valuable opportunities for Emirati youth.”
