The UAE is Preparing for Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games
The UAE proudly retains the achievement of Emirati champion Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzouqi, the first Emirati winner of Olympic medal in Youth Olympic Games Al Marzouqi secured a silver medal in the show jumping event at Buenos Aires Youth Olympics 2018.
The UAE’s aspirations to compete in Dakar 2026 are growing.
The National Olympic Committee is preparing athletes and empowering them with the needed skills to achieve best results.
The ongoing development programs and efforts goal is to reach global levels and enabling UAE champions to raise the national flag on the podium.
Upcoming participation in international qualifiers for Dakar is a favorable opportunity to enhance UAE’s chances of qualifying.
Especially in athletics, cycling, weightlifting, shooting, badminton, taekwondo, and equestrian.
Fulfilling the Hopes of UAE youth
The strong participation of UAE athletes in Paris 2024 Olympics, with young competitors capable of excelling, further boosts these hopes.
The coming period features many major tournaments, starting with the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Tashkent.
Everyone is committed to making the utmost efforts to fulfill the hopes of UAE youth in international arenas.
While many federations are doing their best to qualify for Dakar 2026 through upcoming tournaments.
The recent Technical Affairs Committee meeting with federations discussed outputs of the previous meeting.
It also announced comprehensive preparation strategies, and reviewed technical and financial plans for the next years.
