A team from the Colleges of High Technology succeeded in manufacturing a tool using 3D technology to support the respiratory system to help patients with Coronavirus.
As this innovative tool enables the use of a single breathing apparatus for more than one case in emergency cases so that intensive care departments are supported in hospitals with the possibility of producing up to about one thousand pieces per week and at a minimal cost to meet any future challenges
The tool that was created is a three-dimensional ventilation dispenser and the colleges’ team worked on it to provide the product within the country.
Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi, Director of the Higher Colleges of Technology Complex, stressed that the role of colleges of technology is not limited to providing educational services, but extends to support the community and contribute to providing effective solutions that meet the real needs of different sectors, especially in exceptional circumstances.
