Compassion for Gaza Campaign was launched to help the Palestinian brothers affected by the war in the Gaza Strip.
The campaign aims at establishing centers to collect and pack humanitarian aid packages.
All segments of society participated in this campaign.
Including humanitarian and charitable institutions, volunteer centers, the private sector and the media.
UN World Food Program, Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Community Development cooperated to launch Compassion for Gaza Campaign.
Moreover, the launch of this campaign comes in cooperation with UN WFP and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
And also in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development.
As part of the humanitarian efforts that the United Arab Emirates is undertaking to provide urgent assistance to the Palestinian people.
Compassion For Gaza campaign also aims to show solidarity with the Palestinian children and families affected by the ongoing war.
And also to work to alleviate the severity of the humanitarian situation.
In addition to alleviating the suffering of the most vulnerable groups.
Especially children who make up about half of the population of the Strip (more than one million children).
By providing them and their mothers with the basic needs.
In addition to medical supplies and general hygiene materials.
From the first day of Compassion For Gaza Campaign, UAE Society prepared 3000 Parcels of Aid for the affected Palestinian Brothers.
And also McDonald’s UAE announced a donation of one million dirhams to the Emirates Red Crescent Authority in support of the campaign.
The efforts of participation in “Compassion for Gaza” campaign were not limited to adults.
But rather witnessed widespread participation from children.
Children attended with their parents to support the campaign’s initiatives.
The first day of the campaign saw the participation of the youngest volunteer, Salem Abdelrahman (two years old).
In addition to a number of children, all of whom are Emirati citizens.
