Operation Chivalrous Knight 3: The Largest Relief Operation in Gaza
In line with its usual humanitarian and relief role, the UAE, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, has rushed since the first moments to aid the Palestinian brothers, by Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
Moreover, the UAE is among the first countries to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Its efforts were focused on treating the wounded and injured and providing urgent relief to affected families.
As well as supporting vital and important health sectors.
Supporting Vital Health Sectors
The Emirati Field Hospital
In a strategic move, the United Arab Emirates established the Emirati field hospital last year.
Despite the ongoing military operations and risks in Rafah, the Emirati hospital continues to operate.
The hospital includes multiple departments and specialized clinics to treat the wounded and injured.
The Emirati Floating Hospital
The United Arab Emirates sent a floating hospital to Al-Arish port in Egypt.
After equipping it with all the necessary facilities.
In order to receive Palestinian casualties and injured individuals, provide healthcare, and perform specialized surgeries for them.
Additionally, it includes various outpatient clinics to receive patients daily, where 5,040 cases have been treated since its activation.
Prosthetic Limb Initiative
As part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the UAE has launched a prosthetics initiative.
In order to assist the injured and meet the needs of amputees due to the war in the Gaza Strip.
The initiative provides advanced prosthetics for these cases to improve their lives.
And also to help them in regaining some of their mobility and self-reliance.
The initiative also includes providing psychological support and medical rehabilitation, which helps beneficiaries adapt to their new situation.
736.25 Tons of Medical Aid
The UAE played a pivotal role in supporting the affected healthcare sector in Gaza, where most hospitals have ceased operations.
It provided 736.25 tons of medical aid, including medicines, first aid supplies, and medical equipment.
In addition to its contributions to the rehabilitation and expansion of hospitals and health centers that were damaged during the war.
The Treatment of 1,000 Children and 1,000 Cancer Patients in the UAE
Under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, the UAE has launched an initiative to evacuate 1,000 children and 1,000 cancer patients from Gaza Strip to the UAE.
During their presence in the UAE, the UAE hospitals covered all of their medical needs.
Polio Vaccination for 640,000 Children
The United Arab Emirates has also launched a polio vaccination campaign as part of its ongoing efforts to provide relief to the brotherly Palestinian people.
Especially children, in response to the difficult humanitarian conditions they are experiencing.
The campaign is implemented in collaboration with the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and UNRWA.
Moreover, it provides two doses of the polio vaccine to more than 640,000 children in Gaza under the age of 10.
This is to stop the spread of the virus and prevent an outbreak in the sector.
Strategic Transport
The United Arab Emirates sent humanitarian and medical aid by air, land, and sea to Gaza Strip in the most complex strategic transport operation.
They included 273 cargo planes and 5 cargo ships loaded with humanitarian and medical aid.
In addition to 6 ships from Cyprus to the Gaza Strip.
A total of 1,284 trucks were brought into the Strip, amounting to more than 34,000 tons.
Operation Birds of Goodness
The Joint Operations Command launched “Operation Birds of Goodness,” carried out by C17 aircraft from the United Arab Emirates Air Force.
The aircraft dropped humanitarian aid to isolated areas in Gaza Strip that do not receive assistance.
So far, there have been 53 drops, totaling 3,623 tons of relief and humanitarian aid.
Water projects
The United Arab Emirates established six desalination plants in Al-Arish Egyptian city.
Those desalination plants has a production capacity of two million gallons per day, pumped to Gaza Strip and benefit more than one million people.
Despite the immense scale of the destruction, the UAE did not hesitate to provide emergency assistance to municipalities and local authorities in Gaza Strip.
It also provided a fleet of water transport tankers, sewage tankers, and essential equipment for the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility.
The United Arab Emirates implemented projects to repair water lines, damaged wells, and destroyed networks in Khan Younis and North Gaza.
In order to facilitate residents’ access to water in their living areas and improve their living conditions.

Relief and Humanitarian Support By Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 Team
Amid the rubble and scenes of displacement, the UAE’s pivotal role in providing assistance and support to various vital sectors in Gaza stands out.
In addition to standing by the displaced families.
The volunteer teams of “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” continued their humanitarian aid distribution campaigns to families in the provinces and various shelters.
They provided humanitarian assistance that included distributing shelter tents, winter clothing, and diverse food and health parcels, including essential children’s supplies.
They also distributed dates, vegetables, cleaning supplies, bread, and water.
After a year from implementing major relief operations in Gaza Strip, the United Arab Emirates reaffirmed its commitment to continue providing support.
In various forms to the people of the region in order to alleviate the situation there.
This support reflects its steadfast position in standing by the brotherly Palestinian people.
