Caterer: Dubai recorded a significant increase in the frequency of eating out on an annual basis
Dubai is home for 13,000 restaurants and cafes.
Which made it ranking as the second in the world in terms of restaurant density and number per capita.
This ranking was according to the tourism website Caterer.
The website also added that Dubai is a leading center for foodies.
As per a survey conducted by Dubai Tourism which resulted that 69% of respondents agreed on Dubai as a hub for foodies of the world.
And it also has a special place in the global culinary scene.
Huge opportunities
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, said:
“As Dubai continues to enhance its reputation as a global destination for food tasting.
There are huge opportunities awaiting to be seized by innovative stakeholders.”
He added:
“The rapid expansion of this industry and the global recognition it has gained, are clear indications that the development of culinary arts in the emirate is not just a trend.
But a cultural phenomenon supported by countless cuisines and flavors derived from the cultures of more than 200 nationalities that call the city home.”

Large increase
Al Khaja continued:

According to Caterer website report, there is a significant increase in the frequency of eating out on an annual basis.
This is due to the popularity of casual restaurants and food courts.
While street food vendors in particular are also increasing.
