Originally starting in 2007, Earth Hour comes from humble beginnings. The original event held in Sydney, Australia. So, people were asked to turn off their lights for one hour as a symbolic gesture towards environmental issues involving climate change.
Now Earth Hour spread to over 180 different countries, including the UAE, and counts millions of participants every year.
Every year Earth Hour aims to create a conversation around the topic of the climate crisis and raise awareness for how we can do our part to protect nature.
