The UAE’s celebrations highlight the brotherly relationship between the two countries.
Emirati iconic landmarks are illuminated with the Bahraini flag, and various events are held to reflect the joy of the Emirati people on this occasion.
Why Does the UAE Celebrate Bahrain National Day ?
The UAE and Bahrain share a historical bond that has grown over decades.
This bond built on a common vision between their leaders, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The UAE and Bahrain relationship is a key pillar for the unity and security of the Gulf.
In 2000, the formation of the Joint Higher Committee marked the beginning of a new era in UAE-Bahrain relations.
This committee enhanced political, military, economic, and cultural cooperation.
The 12th session of the committee was held last November.
It has resulted in several MoUs to strengthen cooperation in civil aviation, economic policies, competitiveness, and government training.
Alongside a tourism cooperation program.
Non-oil Trade Value Increased 26%
Economically, non-oil trade between the two countries reached 15.3 billion AED in the first half of this year.
This marks a 26% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Adding that both countries have signed numerous economic agreements.
Including those in space exploration, quality assurance, agriculture, and renewable energy projects with Masdar.
The collaboration between Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and the Bahraini government exemplifies sustainable development.
With the fund financing 33 projects worth 23 billion AED, covering housing, energy, transport, and health.

Bahrain National Day Celebrations in UAE Reflect Deep Bonds
Culturally, the UAE and Bahrain share a rich heritage in arts and literature, creating a cohesive cultural identity.
Both countries have signed several cultural cooperation agreements to preserve this shared history.
Including a project to restore heritage buildings in Bahrain supported by the UAE.
