For the First Time in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum in Dubai
Asia-Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum 2025 will take place in the Middle East for the first time.
Moreover, Dubai Expo 2020 will host the event, which is one of the largest global gatherings dedicated to mayors, city leaders, entrepreneurs, and diverse stakeholders.
Several cities from Asia and the Pacific expressed interest in hosting this event.
But Dubai Exhibition Centre will host it from October 27 to 29, 2025.
This summit will bring together a wide spectrum of experts and leaders shaping cities for the future.
By bridging the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia with Asia and the Pacific,
It will also focus on creating business opportunities, sustainable growth, and urban development plans.
Programs and events co-created and planned by Expo Dubai
The summit is an initiative by the Brisbane City Council in Australia.
Dubai Expo 2020’s 2025 edition will welcome mayors, government leaders and policymakers.
As well as entrepreneurs, startups, youth, and top academics from around the world.
They will participate in programs and events co-created and planned by Expo Dubai.
Asia-Pacific Cities Summit, founded by the Brisbane City Council 28 years ago, and seen participation from over 600 cities.
Moreover, it is a significant event for the Asia-Pacific region, promoting economic growth and cross-city cooperation.
Every two years, the summit is held, alternating between Brisbane and other cities.
Previous international hosts include:
- Seattle, USA (2001)
- Chongqing, China (2005)
- Incheon, South Korea (2009)
- Kaohsiung, Taiwan (2013)
- Daejeon, South Korea (2017).
Asia-Pacific Cities Summit 2023 in Brisbane, Australia, showcased projects worth AUD 2.3 billion (approximately AED 5.6 billion).
It also attracted over 1000 participants representing 171 cities.
This included 118 mayors and deputy mayors, 180 speakers, officials, and 78 exhibitors over three days.

Due to its strategic location and its ability to connect to over two-thirds of the world’s population within an eight-hour flight.
Asia-Pacific Cities Summit was a local event, moved to the global stage and will continue creating opportunities for development and growth.
