Arsenal renews ‘UK£50m per season’ Emirates shirt sponsorship deal.
Latest extension will take relationship between partners to minimum 22 years.
English soccer giants Arsenal have extended their front-of-shirt sponsorship agreement with Emirates Airlines.
Moreover, the new deal to run until 2028 at least.
Contract:
- Emirates logo will stay present on the front of the club’s men’s, women’s and academy team shirts.
- Extension also reportedly includes training kit sponsorship, as per the current deal.
- Football Insider reports the new five-year deal is worth UK£50 million (US$63.9 million) per season.
- Emirates Airlines also has naming rights to the club’s north London home until 2028 as part of an extension signed in 2012.
- Arsenal also have appointed agency Legends to manage sales and delivery for the non-matchday events business at Emirates Stadium.
Context:
The Gunners’ long-standing relationship with the UAE-based airline carrier began in 2006.
In fact the partnership will run for a minimum of 22 years.
The deal sees Emirates Airlines increase its payments to the club by 25 per cent.
Since the previous agreement was reportedly worth UK£40 million (US$51.1 million) per season.
