The UAE ranks second globally in consumer satisfaction with digital shopping experiences.

According to a recent report by Visa and Payments Intelligence, online shopping is well regarded by UAE shoppers.
The study, which surveyed 1,392 consumers and 212 merchants in the UAE, found that 71% of UAE shoppers utilize online features to enhance their shopping experiences.

  • UAE consumers are highly engaged with the online shopping features:
    The average UAE shopper uses 14 different digital features, while grocery shoppers in the country typically use 10 features.
  • Hybrid shopping experiences are gaining popularity:
    75% of UAE shoppers use either online-only or hybrid shopping methods, moving away from traditional in-store shopping without digital aids.
  • Digital features drive consumer satisfaction:
    There is a strong correlation between the number of digital features used and consumer satisfaction.
  • Traditional shopping still holds strong appeal:
    Despite the rise of online shopping, UAE consumers still value the in-store shopping experience.
