Sharjah Club Wins Karate “Kumite” Competition at Arab Women’s Clubs Games
Sharjah Club won the “Kumite” competition at the conclusion of the karate competitions.
Which is part of the 7th Arab Women’s Clubs Games.
The 7th Arab Women’s Clubs Games is held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation (SWSF).
SWSF has organized this tournaments which will run until February 12, 2024.
The participants include: 560 players representing 63 teams from 15 countries competing for titles in eight Olympic sports.
The coronation ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Hanan Al Mahmoud, Vice President of “Arab Women 2024”.
As well as Noura Al Shamsi, Director of “Arab Women 2024”, and to many representatives and partners of the tournament.
Sharjah Club Wins 4 Medals
Sharjah continued its brilliance on the second day of the karate competitions after winning the gold medal with merit.
While Al Fatat Club from Kuwait came in second place, winning the silver medal.
The third place and the bronze medal went to Nassib Club from Syria and Saudi Club.
On the other hand, Nassib Club from Syria topped the final overall standings of the karate competition in both its “Kata” and “Kumite” competitions.
This was after coming in first place with 8 medals (two golds, one silver, and five bronzes).
Sharjah Club came in second place with four medals (two golds, one silver, and one bronze).
Followed by Shabab Al Ahli Club from the UAE in third place with three medals (two golds and one silver).
Al Fatat Club from Kuwait came in fourth place with five colored medals (one gold, two silvers, and two bronzes).
Al-Beshmerka Club from Iraq came in fifth place with four medals (one silver and three bronzes).
Followed by Al-Ittihad Club from Libya in sixth place with one medal (silver).
Al-Ittihad Club from Saudi Arabia came in seventh place with three medals (bronze).
Followed by Balqis Club from Yemen in eighth place with one bronze medal, and finally Al-Rais Club from Oman in ninth place with no medals.
