Al Wahda Beats Chabab Belouizdad & Enters Arab Quarter-Finals.

Al Wahda beats Chabab Belouizdad (1-2) & Enters Quarter-Finals of King Salman Cup, as part of the second round of the group stage.

Al Wahda raised their tally to 6 points, and temporarily maintained their lead of Group Four of the tournament.
They started their campaign in the tournament with a win over Kuwait SC (2-1).

Meanwhile, Chabab Belouizdad suffered their second loss in the Arab Club Cup, after losing the first round to Al Rajaa Al-Bidawi (1-2).
Unfortunately, Chabab Belouizdad were eliminated from the tournament.

The first few minutes of the match were balanced, and there was a defensive caution.
With a desire to avoid any early surprises in the match that took place at Prince Sultan Sports City Stadium in Abha.

The first chance came in the 14th minute, when Chabab Belouizdad defenders were slow to clear the ball.

The ball fell to Salem Al Somhi, who shot it at the body of Azzedine Doukha, the goalkeeper of the Algerian team.
Then the ball turned into a corner kick.

Al Wahda continued to have the upper hand in attack, and Doukha saved a second dangerous chance from the Emirati team.

Al Wahda embodied their attacking superiority into a goal in the 44th minute.
Moreover, it was an organized attack and poor handling by the Chabab Belouizdad defense.
Chabab Belouizdad defense allowed the ball to fall to Fakundo, who shot it into the net.

Al Wahda maintained their superiority on the field in the first few minutes of the second half.
As expected there was no strong reaction from Chabab Belouizdad.

Al Wahda extended their lead to 2-0 in the 60th minute, through Khwanka.
After putting pressure on the Algerian team players and gaining possession of the ball more than once in their half.

Aymen Bouguerra reduced the deficit for Chabab Belouizdad in the 84th minute with a world-class goal.
From a direct free kick on the edge of the penalty area.

The team managed to maintain their superiority in the difficult last few minutes of the match.
Accordingly AlWahda came out with a valuable win and a ticket to the next round of the Arab Cup.

Al Wahda Players expressed their happiness after their 2-1 victory over (Chabab Belouizdad) on Monday evening and affirmed their desire to win the last round against Raja Club.

Abdulaziz Al-Balushi Central Midfield player was playing in a brilliant way during the game.
He made 1 Offside, 2 Key Passes which were 98% successful.

Also, Abdulaziz Al-Balushi expressed his happiness with the qualification, saying:

“Thanks God for winning the second match in the Arab tournament.
And our goal is to give our best in all matches.”

He added:

“We will face Raja in the last round, with the same strong performance.
Along with the desire to win to achieve a perfect record and to reach the next round through the top of the group.”

We should mention that Abdulaziz Al-Balushi has joined Al Wahda team lately on 03 – July.
Also, he has been a member from Shabab Al Ahli.

Alaa Bin Zaher, a defender, expressed his happiness with the victory, saying in a T.V interview:

“We did not fall short against Chabab Belouizdad, and I thank the fans for their support.
And thankful to God for reaching the next round.”

He added, “We will now focus on our last match in the group stage.
We are very keen to win, to confirm our lead
And to qualify with a perfect record for the quarter-finals.”
